Email & Newsletter Copywriting

Email Copywriter for Onboarding, Launch and Newsletter Sequences

Email marketing copy that gets opened and acted on: SaaS onboarding sequences, launch and nurture flows, e-commerce automations and editorial newsletters.

Email is the channel you own, and it’s usually where the money is made after the first click. It’s also where copy gets lazy: generic subject lines, three links per email, and sequences nobody updated since launch.

I write email sequences and newsletters where every email has one job: activate a trial user, move a lead closer to buying, or give a subscriber a reason to keep opening.

What I write

Onboarding sequences

Trial and new-user emails built around your activation steps, with behaviour-based branches.

Launch and nurture flows

Pre-launch, launch and cart-close sequences, and nurture flows for leads not ready to buy.

E-commerce automations

Welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase and win-back flows.

Newsletters

Editorial newsletters and subject lines with a voice readers recognise in their inbox.

How a project works

  1. Audit

Review your current emails, data and the actions you need subscribers to take.

  2. Sequence map

Plan every email: trigger, timing, goal and the one link it points to.

  3. Write

Subject lines, preview text and body copy, written to be read in under a minute.

  4. Revise and measure

Revisions with you, then guidance on what to measure for each email.

Questions clients ask

Which email platforms do you work with?

Any of them. I deliver copy in a doc or directly in your platform, including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Customer.io, Intercom, ConvertKit and Beehiiv.

How many emails should an onboarding sequence have?

Enough to get a new user to your activation moment, which is often six to eight emails over the first two weeks of a trial. Behaviour-based branches matter more than the exact number.

Do you write weekly newsletters on retainer?

Yes. Newsletter and ongoing email work is available on a monthly retainer, with a set number of sends per month.

Can you improve emails we already send?

Yes. An audit of your existing flows is often the fastest win: rewriting the few emails with the most traffic usually matters more than adding new ones.
